When you create an account, we collect basic profile information such as your name, country, email address, age, and gender, as well as technical data like account creation date and last active date. This information is used to provide you with a personalized experience, improve the app, and send accurate information relevant to your interests. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of our agreement with you.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. However, we use the following services to operate the app: Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In for authentication, Firebase for notifications and technical operations, Google Maps for the map, RevenueCat and Apple/Google for in-app purchases, Stripe for Super Spot payments, and PostHog for usage statistics (see below). These services process data only on our behalf and only as needed for their function. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies for more information.
Usage statistics. To improve the app we measure how it is used: which screens and features are opened (for example the map, a filter or the event calendar) and which city you are browsing. We use PostHog (servers in the EU) and Google Firebase Analytics for this. The statistics are linked to your app account number, never to your name or email address, and never include your exact position or what you type in the search field. We do not use an advertising ID, the app shows no third-party ads, and we never sell data. Usage statistics are kept for at most 12 months. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the app (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); you can object at any time by emailing hello@thriftclub.app.
When you delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) it is closed immediately and your reviews, photos and favourites are removed. Email us and we permanently erase the account and all data linked to it within 30 days; see how to delete your account. Payment records for Super Spot are kept as long as Swedish bookkeeping law requires (7 years). Inactive accounts are automatically deleted after 5 years of inactivity. The app does not use cookies.
We may send push notifications to keep you updated on new stores, events, and offers. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
You have the following rights under GDPR: you can request a copy of your personal data, request correction of any inaccuracies, request deletion of your data and account, and object to certain processing of your data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@thriftclub.app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) if you believe we are not handling your personal data in accordance with applicable law. More information is available at imy.se.
We take appropriate measures to protect your personal information, but please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Users will be notified of major changes in the app. Continued use of the app after updates indicates acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
